Running for Fistula
Anael Samuel is a board member of the Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation Center in Tanzania (CCBRT) NGO and is running the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon with a purpose close to his heart: raising awareness and funds for women in Tanzania suffering from obstetric fistula. This treatable condition leaves women incontinent and often isolated, but through the remarkable work of CCBRT, these women gain access to life-changing surgeries and rehabilitation.
Anael’s marathon journey is about more than just completing a race—it’s about transforming lives. Every kilometer he runs is a step toward helping women receive the treatment they desperately need to regain their dignity and rebuild their futures.
